Pediatric cardiology

The Quarenghi Clinical Institute has always been an excellence in the care of the cardiological patient.

Cardiovascular diseases are still the leading cause of death in western countries: early screening of congenital diseases, familiar cardiovascular risk and good food hygiene education are the basis for a project to reduce the incidence of disease in the population .

From 2019 we wanted to complete cardiological diagnostics with a space dedicated also to the pediatric belt, meeting an important need from the territory, where pediatric cardiology surgeries are unable to cover the high number of requests.
Children belonging to the pediatric cardiology surgery are included in an age group ranging from birth to 16 years.

In addition to the cardiological specialist medical examinations, instrumental examinations such as electrocardiogram, echocardiogram colordoppler, electrocardiogram sec. Holter, exercise test on the cycle ergometer (in children over eight years of age), 24-hour blood pressure monitoring.
